Geotechnical Project Engineer/Project Manager - Seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a Geotechnical Project Engineer/Project Manager position that will report directly to the Senior Geotechnical Engineers. Responsible for assisting with maintaining current clients, growing the geotechnical business, and coordinating engineering services with our internal staff. As part of the assigned duties, you will perform geotechnical engineering investigation and design activities, assist in the preparation of proposals, and perform task management and project management responsibilities. Initially, duties will include field oversight of geotechnical investigations and construction oversight for more complex geotechnical projects; however, the intent of the position is to grow into the day-to-day office operations of the geotechnical practice. Applicant will be required to ensure high client service by meeting deadlines and providing clear communications with our clients as well as our internal staff. The role and responsibilities of will include, but are not limited to the following: perform and/or direct geotechnical investigations (including borings, test pits, and infiltration tests) and prepare geotechnical engineering reports for a variety of projects including buildings, stormwater basins, roadways, and earthen dams; perform engineering analyses; assist in the preparation of proposals; work closely with other engineers and engineering technicians on civil, environmental, and geotechnical engineering projects; maintain strong and positive working relationships with clients and our internal staff; and other related duties and responsibilities as required. Position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, a Master of Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred; Professional Engineering license is required; valid driver’s license and personal vehicle; a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Geotechnical Engineering practice; experience in geotechnical analysis methods including the development of shallow and deep foundation design recommendations, slope stability analysis, seepage analysis, ground improvements, retaining wall design, pavement design, grading/earthwork, field soil testing, and geotechnical laboratory testing; clear, concise technical writing for letters and reports; ability to organize priorities and multi-task effectively; strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently; strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe, and GeoStudio 2012; and experience with AutoCAD and gINT is a plus. Water-Wastewater Project Engineer in Cherry Hill, NJ office – Opportunity to work on engineering plans and specifications, project deliverables, client development, and marketing. Design experience includes: well hydraulics and design for water supply systems, water treatment, storage, pumping systems and distribution design and environmental permitting, hydrogeologic services and water allocation permitting, financial assistance for water and wastewater infrastructure improvement projects for municipal and investor-owned utilities, and construction administration services for small, medium and large scale water and wastewater utility infrastructure projects in New Jersey and the Tri-State area. Experience with water and sewer utility valuations, capital improvement plans, and master plans a plus. Minimum of 8 years of experience in the water-wastewater engineering field. Possession of a certificate of registration as a professional engineer preferred. Possession of an Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) Certificate at a minimum is required.
