According to the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ), the NJDEP has gone through the following reorganization:
- John Giordano, the Asst Commissioner (AC) of Compliance and Enforcement, will leave that post and take charge of the revamped Sustainability, Air Quality, and Green Energy Division (SAGE). John takes over for a departing Jane Herndon (formerly Kozinski) who was the AC of the group. The NJDEP's Radiation & Nuclear unit will also be part of this group.
- Ray Bukowski will become the new Assistant Commissioner of Compliance & Enforcement. Ray worked in the NJDEP's Natural Resources/Parks Division prior to taking over Enforcement. A major change will be the moving of Release Prevention (DPCC), Right to Know, Pollution Prevention, and TCPA under Compliance & Enforcement. Air stack testing and technical services will also be part of Compliance and Enforcement.
- Bob Marshall (formerly the AC for Sustainability and Green Energy) will advise the Commissioner on power plant greenhouse gas emissions and the 111(d) rule.
- Lastly, the NJDEP's Solid Waste Division will now reside in the Site Remediation Program, under AC Mark Pedersen's supervision.
