SEI Investment Campus in Oaks, PA
Advanced GeoServices staff designed corporate plaza areas as well as planting and landscape treatments including renovation of an existing pond. This site offers a strong example of the integration of landscape architecture and engineering in a single design process. Site elements such as buildings, parking, pedestrian circulation, grading, storm water management, and planting work in harmony to create a landscape that is aesthetically pleasing and functional. The SEI project has been published in various design magazines and has won the Montgomery County Planning Commission 1997 Outstanding Site Design Award.
Lone Pine Landfill – Contractor Procurement & Management
Advanced GeoServices was retained by the PRP Group to coordinate and oversee the installation of a groundwater remediation system. Advanced GeoServices developed the Contract Documents, Construction Specifications and Bidding documents and published them on our web-based portal for bidding. The web portal was central to the exchange of information, responding to questions and Contractor’s submitting bids. The web portal was subsequently used during the bidding phase. Advanced GeoServices’ web portal saves clients time and money by providing access anywhere to project documents and eliminates costly reproduction efforts.
High-Rise Office Building in Wilmington, DE
The client required a 12-story office building in the downtown area of Wilmington, with three lower levels of parking and nine stories of office above, with a stair tower and pedestrian bridge connecting to an adjacent office building for this small site in a congested area. Three sides are adjacent to existing city streets, and the fourth side is within 10 feet of an existing stone structure. Through proper planning, Advanced GeoServices was able to develop and implement an investigation and design in keeping with the extremely aggressive project schedule. This philosophy carried over to the construction procedures and sequencing where Advanced GeoServices was instrumental in developing strategies which allowed for the efficient completion of earthworks and foundations.
General Instrument Division Headquarters in Horsham, PA
The 36-acre tract contained several parcels that had been disturbed during previous development of adjacent lots. Large areas of the site had been stripped for use as fill, and unsuitable soils from other projects had been stockpiled and spread over large portions of the site. The development included four office buildings (two and three stories), associated parking, and the site infrastructure (utilities, roadways, and stormwater detention basins). Advanced GeoServices’ construction experience and practical approach provided cost-effectiveness in design and the efficient utilization of available on-site materials. By implementing our recommendations, the client was able to combine shallow and deep foundations to minimize differential settlements within the buildings and eliminate the need for costly imported aggregate as building pad fill.
Mill Lane Pump Station in East Whiteland Township, PA
Advanced GeoServices acted as the Owner's Representative for East Whiteland Township during design, bidding, and construction of the Mill Lane Pump station project. We set up a secure portal site for the project, which significantly reduced the use of paper, improved project communication, and reduced the Township construction costs.
