Advanced GeoServices is a proud member of the consultant team working with the Chester County Parks and Facilities Department on sections of the Chester Valley Trail, a public trail system being built in phases across 18.5 miles of Chester County from Downingtown to the Montgomery County line. Recently Phase III of the trail was opened to the public and on September 25th an opening ceremony was held at the Exton Park Trailhead. Speaking at the ceremony were Director Steve Fromnick of the Chester County Facilities and Parks Department, Chester County Commissioners Kathi Cozzone and Terence Farrell, Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary Ellen Ferretti and West Whiteland Township Board of Supervisors Chairman Steve Soles. Also seen in the ribbon cutting pictures is Dave Stauffer, Chester County Facilities and Parks Department Capital Projects Coordinator.
It was a cool and wet day for the opening but the event was well attended. Congratulations to Chester County Parks and all who are making this tremendous and worthwhile project a reality!
