The Philadelphia Business Journal recently reported on the groundbreaking for a new Performing Arts Center as part of Villanova University’s master plan to expand their footprint along Lancaster Avenue, including additional dorms and retail space to the school’s 260-acre campus. AGC was part of the design team for the Center, including Robert A.M. Stern Architects, Voith & Mactavish Architects, and L.F. Driscoll.
“We are proud to continue our participation in Villanova University’s ongoing Lancaster Avenue expansions and look forward to contributing our expertise to the design team for the new Performing Arts Project “ said Paul Marano, Senior Geotechnical Engineer for Advanced GeoServices Corp.
According to the Business journal, “the new center will have two main performance spaces, one of which is a proscenium-style theatre with 400 seats. The other space will be a courtyard theatre with 200 seats. In addition to the performance spaces, the project will also include classrooms, rehearsal space, performance labs, a dance studio, and a box office.”
