Barb Forslund recently spoke at the New Jersey chapter of the Society of Military Engineers' "2016 Small Business Networking & Opportunities" event in Chesterfield, NJ and shared her experience pursuing federal government contracts as a small business contractor and teaming with other partners.
AGC was recently awarded our first contract with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District for a geotechnical investigation for Reach B of the Marcus Hook Anchorage portion of the Delaware River Deepening project in Philadelphia, PA.
According to Barb Forslund, "the US Army Corps and other branches of the military offer a good opportunity for established businesses like Advanced GeoServices that are on the larger end of the small business size limitations for engineering and environmental consulting. Our experiences in the private sector and service oriented approach bring value and help those agencies achieve their mission. It takes patience and persistence to break into any new market sector, and we are excited about the potential that this opportunity brings. Building a team is critical, and we continue to look for small and large business partners whose services are complementary to ours. "
